Writing Help: comma splicing and simultaneous action

Help!

I'm looking for some writing advice. In my most recent editorial evaluation, I was told that simultaneous action and comma splicing interfere with the ability to form a strong book. Can anyone give me guidance on what exactly that means and how to correct it?

Thanks.

Think it would be better if you "only" said, "I am creative."  "I can do it."  (-:
