Here we are with just a few days remaining in 2010. Does anyone really want to make any New Year Resolutions?
I find the best thing to do is to not make any resolutions. That way you won't get depressed one you start to break them one by one. Or maybe just make resolutions you have a good chance of keeping.
Here is my spur of the moment list of resolutions I can probably keep most of the time.
I resolve not to kill anyone unless needed to do in self… Continue

espite my delusional insistence I was a simple child, my damaged psyche made me complex and unfathomable. I imagined myself socially well-adapted because I only had my subjective experience for reference. Now, I'm older and wiser, and writing has provided windows that promote painful reflection. I was a wicked child. I did horrible, torturous things and I took righteous pleasure from the cruelty I inflicted. I am sorry, now, at the point in which my repentance does not… Continue

I never thought roach droppings would become part of one of my favorite Christmas stories. But stories have a way of writing themselves on our hearts. Each year between Thanksgiving and Christmas, my sister Paige invites my brother’s family and our family to her house. The kids… Continue

When did you become a writer?
I’ve always enjoyed writing, but was not serious about it until 2006. I sang professionally for thirty-five years. My main means of creative expression was through song. About five years ago, I contracted Post-Polio Syndrome, a late-life extension of the polio I had as a child. The increased weakness and fatigue put an end to my singing career. God led me in the direction of writing. One voice led to another, so to speak. Writing is… Continue

m up to the fourth rewrite of my Pazuzu Trilogy
and became curious with the differences between the manuscripts. So, I used ExamDiff, a free file comparison application, and compared separate copies of the Pazuzu - Manifestation
text files - separate files for each edition. The images are small, but I merely wanted to provide a bird's eye overview of the work accomplished… Continue

It is not often I get to talk about my book, Eli, but I got a chance on the Authors Show and felt there is no harm in mentioning this sort of free publicity. I believe some authors out there may need this.
The webpage is www.AuthorsWebTV.com
I am on it now running until the 8th December, blabbing away and almost forgetting keypoints! One thing though Danielle the… Continue

INTERVIEW WITH THE AUTHOR
Location: The Arena of the Mind
Completed: Sunday December 7, 4:21 PM
Our customary practice at this point, since you've been involved in the story for quite some time now, is to have a brief intermission. Most of you can probably use a break, and will more easily pay attention after you have time to stretch, maybe even yawn a bit. You may also be anticipating a potty break, so this could well be a blessing.
As you're all aware, your… Continue

After what happened yesterday, feeling the cumulative effect of the last week or so, I slept in. I was courteous enough to ask Father, the dog, just before I went to sleep last night, if he minded hanging out by himself until I woke up today. He gave me a long look asking, Does that mean I have to give up my half of the bed?
Without waiting for an answer, he turned and went to the bedroom. I… Continue

Aiano was furious when he couldn't find Sina. So pissed off, he went looking for her himself, knowing all too well he'd never catch her, no faster than he could run. He knew it, but went after her all the same.
He was infuriated when he came on his minions out in the brush, weeds and trees. He saw they'd given up and were letting her go, wherever she might be. Driven by rage, he… Continue

feel I must remind potential readers that there are currently two versions of the first half of my fantasy-horror Pazuzu Trilogy
available. Both versions are self-published, so I'm free to experiment - especially because I'm a foolhardy, inexperienced and unknown author. Since the free, unedited version of Pazuzu - Manifestation
has lured thousands of readers, I thought to explain… Continue

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the Mall, last minute
shoppers scurried from store to store; short on patience and with little
evidence of the holiday spirit of love. The only ones smiling were the store
owners and the costumed Santa, who gets paid to be jolly.
The children were nestled all snug in their beds, while…

Sina Matua did some housework for her mother, then laundry. She needed clean clothes, as did Alejandro. There were always plenty of diapers to wash now she had her baby boy to take care of. Plenty of diapers.
When she finished, she put Alejandro in his stroller and left, pushing him at a speedy pace as she jogged. She planned to meet Jorge downtown and have lunch, family style. Jorge,… Continue
