My books: "Three Days of Darkness and the Coming Flood" and "Time For Truth.

My name is Jesus Villalobos. The above books are published by PublishAmerica. The first book; "Three Days of Darkness and the Coming Flood," concerns Jesus' return and the fact that contrary to popular belief, He told us exactly when He was coming. Many have erred by listening to well meaning preachers who tell them that Matthew 24 says it is impossible to know when Jesus is coming back.

Matthew 24 does not say this. It says "Heaven and earth shall pass away (be…

I Like Customer Reviews

In a previous post I wrote about a review I requested from Charlie Courtland for A Promise Is A Promise from my Nurse Hal series. Charlie is the author of Dandelions In The Garden and has a book review website http://www.bitsybling.wordpress.com. I appreciated her good review and the fact that she put it on Amazon and www.goodreads.com where it could be…

Work on “Jefferson’s Masterpiece” is on schedule

As John Adams said when the Declaration of Independence had been approved, “It is done.” The final editing of “Jefferson’s Masterpiece” has been completed. Hurrah! . . . I’m glad.

Beverly has made a good start on getting the book ready for the printer. Her first task has been to layout the pages. (Layout is the graphic…

Road Closed - Leigh Russell, Author

Road Closed – Review by Martha A. Cheves, Author of Stir, Laugh, Repeat
“We’re evacuating the neighboring houses,” a voice called out. “We need to move all those cars, now,” another voice barked. A movement nearby

caught Sophie’s attention. Two men were carrying a stretcher, its small

load covered. Sophie stumbled over to it. The stretcher…

Kindle Post Featured on iFOGO Village & More Author Sites

What a nice surprise to get an email to let me know that my blog post from last week - Kindle Book Sales A Surprise - was featured on www.iFogovillage.com. Thank you iFogo Village.

I read in an Amazon discussion that another author was surprised at how well his book was selling on Kindle after not getting as good a result for his hardcover book. Made me wonder just how many Kindles have been sold. Maybe sales would dry up soon. Also, on the…

Living for a Writing

Back when my hair was naturally blond and my idea of dieting was only three scoops of chocolate ice cream drowning in hot fudge sauce instead of four, I went through a stage where I wanted to be an actress.

I was pretty, had been in quite a few plays, and thought I had some potential to go professional at some point. Toward the end of this period, I confided to my acting coach that I dreamed of playing Blanche DuBois in A Streetcar Named Desire, to which she… Continue

Kindle Book Sales A Surprise

The month of June has past with several of my books in the Kindle store on Amazon. I priced the download of my books very cheap. I’m an unknown author so my paperback books in the list of choices in the different genre is near the bottom of thousands of titles. I’ve searched Amazon for them myself, and by the time I went through a few hundred books, I was tired of looking so I know how buyers feel. Then there is the fact that $16.00 plus $4.00 postage is a lot of money to pay to take a…

AN ODE TO GENE CARTWRIGHT

Mother Marie taught you to read when you were barely four

Thereby bringing your literary pursuits to the fore

Amazing - being an electrician at the age of twelve

An age when children love to dig and delve !!

Designing lights and lamps, glorifying many a home

Of brilliance and perseverence, you were an epitome

A strong desire to wield the pen, you nurtured in your heart

And soon in your life, writing became an inherent part…

DAYBREAK

I watched the Sun break the day,

moved my spirit in an emotional way.

The light created shafts touching the Earth,

a beautiful cathedral was created with a wide girth.

Millions I thought had this sight,

my heart sank, most did not receive the light. .

Too busy, hurried, life steals the soul,

life's worries fill their bowl.

Suffering, grief, is the story,

robs us of the intended glory.

So I pray for all to take… Continue

Blackberry Picking & Hay Making - Hot Jobs

Again my living in the country got in the way of being able to work at the computer last week. Not that I'm complaining. I love being an author and a country gal. I'm the one who set out blackberry vines twenty years ago. I dug the starter plants out of my parents ditch. One more plant at my house that has a family attachment. It took a few years for the plants to get established and attached to the barb wire fence back of the garden. Now the vines are so thickly entwined we don't know the… Continue

FOOTBALL FEVER

Football fever seems to have gripped the whole world now. FIFA is the hot topic of discussion on the lips of every football fanatic. Last night my eyes were glued to the television screen watching every moment of the match between the giants of Brazil and the magically charged players of Netherlands. But after a little while my mind strayed elsewhere. I was reminded of two gifted footballers in the school where I teach. During the recent inter school football tournament, I had seen these two… Continue
