Yeah! Reviews On Amazon

With good intentions, I started out to blog once a week on this site about my writing, book marketing efforts and in between life down on the farm. My dialup system has been slow and tackling the internet for a weekly blog in several places proved to be difficult when I kept getting an error page and had to back track. Hopefully, I have my technical problems out of the way and am going to get this blog underway. I aim for Tuesday mornings but sometimes life does get in the way. For instance,…

Fourth Week of Preparing Appendix for "Jefferson’s Masterpiece"

“And for the support of this declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.” With this pledge, fifty-six men unhesitatingly signed the Declaration of Independence.…

Why I write 3

I thought today I would write about some of the ideas behind my vampire novels, death being number one.

Hardly a day passes where I don't think of the possibility of death. Sickness and illness usually will provide you with some warning of an impending doom.…

Third Week of Preparing Appendix for "Jefferson’s Masterpiece"

As I worked last week on Thomas Jefferson’s biographical sketch for the appendix of Jefferson’s Masterpiece, I learned some facts about his life that I didn’t know. Most everyone can recite Jefferson’s major accomplishments – author of the Declaration of…

Why I write 2

I hope I'm stating the obvious but for those who have not thought about it, here goes.
We would not be able to think were it not for words.
We would have feelings without words. All animals have feelings. Their ability to express themselves is limited to some vocal sounds and "body language." But thought as we know it really does require words.
Humans with a limited vocabulary are limited in their thought process and their ability to…

Why I write

I haven't been too active here, mainly because I spend most of my time writing/reporting for the
weekly newspaper, The Hamilton County Express, and because the balance of my time is spent
working on my novels or going on a hike in Hamilton County.
When I do blog here, it's usually on something topical that has caught my interest. Those who
have read the few blogs I have posted, should know by now I like say…

Soon from BeWrite Books.

The ancient walled city of Canterbury has held many secrets over the centuries but none more mysterious than the death of Professor de Gray.

Called in to evaluate the contents of his Tudor Manor House, Belinda and Hazel are confronted with a number of suspects who would benefit from the book the Professor was about to publish; a book he promised would re-write the history of St Thomas Becket who was murdered in the Cathedral in 1170.

The unfriendly secretary Miss Mowbray, the live… Continue

Paradise Found

As a closed captioner for television, sometimes the news can be overwhelmingly depressing. As I look at the oil spill in the Gulf, the missing child in Portland, Oregon, and the ongoing wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the world appears cruel and heartless. If it bothers me, as sinful as I am, I know it must grieve our heavenly Father.

So today I am reminding myself of the heavenly home that awaits me. While I can’t change the…

GOOD-BYE VILLAGERS

I am all set to leave tomorrow...back to India, my country. My short stay in the US has enabled me to interact with interesting people in different places from different walks of life. Come to UCLA and Learn--For a Vacation!

I thought my fellow iFOGO Village inhabitants would like to know about my coming class at UCLA. I know many of you don't live in the Southern California area but the beach is nearby. Disneyland, too. If you include a class, your vacation become at least in part tax deductible. (-:…
