Gerry,

I just realized I had a post from you over a month ago - my bad for not responding as I haven't quite gotten into the habit of checking here often. Drop me a note if you are still interested in talking about screenplays

I did not answer your question. Yes to Jeramiah Johnston. Very good movie. It was taken from a very old book called "Crow Killer." In the book, Jeramiah was known to eat the liver of the Crow Indians that he killed. According to most facts, nothing was mentioned about eating the liver, but he did indeed mark them in some way.

Thank you for your comment. As for the re-enacting... all you have to do is punch up buckskinning, or Mountain men, or rendezvous. You will be surprized at how much comes up. To really get the "feel" of it, one has to walk amoung the lodges during a re-enactment. Smell the woodsmoke, or somone cooking over an open fire, possibly a flute or dulcimer playing in the background. AS you are walking along, someone steps out of a tipi with an ominous critter perched on top his head! Do not be alarmed... it is his hat.
I hope you are somewhat enlightened---- Gil Schriber
