- Born and raised in Philadelphia, I spent most of my summers in either Eastern Shore Maryland with my paternal grandparents or in Gadsden, South Carolina with my maternal grandmother. I am now the mother of three adult children and grandmother of eight; four boys and four girls (tie breaker nine is on the way).
Writing has been my passion for as long as I can remember. Poetry early on, followed by short stories and then novels. The strange thing about it is I never realized it as a gift because it came so naturally to me. Today, I know writing as my lifeline and my joy.
