Comment by Cynthia Cartwright E. on January 9, 2012 at 10:05am Hi, I listened to your book "A Family Gathering." Awesome! I must get the book! I was born and raised in Louisiana. I must tell you if it weren't for "Mamie" our "housemaid" I don't know how I would have turned out! She was an awesome lady. True, honest, and took care of me in a way where there was true "Love." Something I didn't know because of my traumatic childhood. She has been an inspiration to me since I was only four years old. I wish I knew her last name.. because when I begin my Memoir she will be included not to mention all the times she was there to guide me through my troubled years.
"God Bless You Miss Mamie" Always grateful.. Cindy
